SaunaLife GL4 Garden Luxury outdoor sauna cabin in thermo-spruce with glass front

The Quick Answer

SaunaLife is a Nordic-designed brand of DIY outdoor sauna kits, engineered so two people with moderate DIY experience can assemble them in about two days. The outdoor lineup splits into four families:

  • E-Series barrels ($5,190 to $7,190): the classic round barrel shape, the most affordable way into a real traditional outdoor sauna.
  • CUBE Series ($5,990): a modern cube silhouette with a full glass front, for buyers who want a contemporary look at a barrel price.
  • G-Series cabins ($6,990 to $14,990): rectangular cabin saunas that seat more people, from a 4-person G3 to an 8-person G11.
  • Garden Luxury Series (GL) ($9,490 to $12,790): the premium tier, thick thermo-spruce cabins with an integrated porch, recessed LED lighting, and Wi-Fi controls.

If budget is the priority, start in the E-Series barrels. If you want the highest-end backyard centerpiece, the Garden Luxury cabins are the flagship. Everything in between is about shape, capacity, and how much glass you want.

How the Four Series Differ

E-Series barrels are the traditional choice: a rounded Nordic spruce barrel that heats efficiently because the curved walls put the bather closer to the heat. The Model E7 ($5,190) seats 4-6 and is the entry point; the Model E8 ($5,990) stretches to 6-8. Add a window or a full glass front (E7W, E7G, EE6G, E8G, EE8G) when you want to see the yard while you sweat.

The CUBE Series is for the modern backyard. The Model CL5G ($5,990) trades the round barrel for a clean cube with a large glass front, at the same price as a mid-range barrel.

G-Series cabins are rectangular rooms rather than barrels, so they use interior space more like a traditional Finnish sauna. The Model G3 ($6,990) fits 4; the Model G11 ($14,990) is the 8-person, thermo-spruce flagship of the standard cabin range.

Garden Luxury (GL) is the premium tier. Both cabins are built from exceptionally thick 1.57-inch thermally treated spruce that resists moisture, decay, and fungi far better than conventional timber, with a full-height tempered bronze glass front, an integrated porch with recessed LED eave lighting, and interior LED lighting controlled by Wi-Fi or a hand-held remote. The GL4 ($9,490) seats 4; the GL6 ($12,790) seats 6 with a wrap-around eave and porch.

Which SaunaLife Fits Your Backyard?

Choose an E-Series barrel if: you want authentic traditional sauna at the lowest entry price, and the round barrel look suits your space. Start with the E7 for most yards, step to the E8 for larger groups.

Choose the CUBE CL5G if: you prefer a modern, squared-off design with a big glass front but do not want to pay cabin prices.

Choose a G-Series or Garden Luxury cabin if: you want a room rather than a barrel, more headroom and bench space, and, in the GL tier, a true backyard centerpiece with porch and lighting. These are the models to grow into rather than out of.
